Every one has a padded laptop compartment, so the thing you are actually protecting is not sitting against your spine with a charger next to it. Interiors are lined in cotton twill, with pockets for the small items that otherwise migrate to the bottom.

Leather this grade starts stiff and gets better. A year in, the straps have given, the front has darkened where your hand goes, and it looks like yours rather than like new. Can be monogrammed with your initials.

Is a leather backpack heavy?
Leather weighs more than nylon or canvas. Each product page lists the weight, and the canvas and nylon backpacks in this collection are the lighter choice if weight matters most.
How does the leather change with use?
It starts firm. Over the first months the straps soften and the surface darkens where it is handled, which is the patina full-grain leather is known for. With normal care it does not crack or peel.
Can I use it in the rain?
It is not waterproof. Full-grain leather copes with light rain. If it gets wet, wipe it dry and let it dry slowly at room temperature, away from a heater or a hair dryer.
Can I return it?
Yes, within 30 days of placing the order, unused and in its original packaging, and we cover the return shipping. Engraved and custom pieces cannot be returned.
