Sustainability & Responsibility

At Outback, we have made a clear choice when it comes to sustainability and social responsibility. We want to be among the most environmentally sustainable and socially responsible brands out there. Our strategy is focused on workers, product and environment.

All our craftsmen have immense knowledge and experience of leather craftsmanship. Each Outback product is handcrafted by artisans with decades of experience. We only work with suppliers who follow ethical labour practices.

We have a zero waste policy. Mass production invariably leads to wastage of unsold products. So, we have made a conscious choice not to mass produce. Most of our orders are made to order, which also gives us the flexibility to customise the products as per the customer's needs. We use left over leather scraps to make beautiful small accessories.

We only use genuine leather for all our products which is far more eco-friendly and sustainable than PU or vegan leather. Unlike PU or Vegan leather which is made from petroleum using nature's considerable resources, genuine leather is a by-product of the food industry and is one hundred percent bio degradable. Also, leather products last for many years and become more beautiful with age unlike a PU bag which is dumped in landfills within 2-3 years of use.

All our materials are sourced from environmentally sustainable and responsible sources. To reduce the impact of packaging materials, we use recycled packaging material and paper bags.

We do our utmost to contribute towards a more sustainable planet.
